Fazendas Dutra, Brazil

Establishment

In the 1950s, José Dutra Sobrino acquired a small farm that he steadily expanded over 40 years, producing „Pulped Natural“ coffees as early as the 1980s. This very rare processing method produces coffees with high natural sweetness and a very balanced flavor profile with subtle fruity notes.

Current

In 1999, brothers Ednilson Alves Dutra and Walter Cesar Dutra inherited the now 300-hectare plantation and took responsibility for the family legacy. Today, the plantation covers almost 1000 hectares, of which about 650 hectares are devoted to coffee cultivation. The plantations produce the rarest late harvests and unique balanced coffees for espresso roasts.
